The Chromebook I keep in my bag is $150 off and worth every penny

It’s a strange thing having all sorts of Chromebooks around the office. Given their nature, I could use a different Chromebook every single day without too much effort. Just sign in to the one that I want to use, wait a few minutes for everything to sync, and get going. It’s one of the traits of Chromebooks I love more than anything else, and it is endlessly handy in situations where I need to test different features across different processors and different builds of ChromeOS.

A few months back, I felt like I was having to make the constant distinction between Chromebook and Chromebook Plus, branded and non-branded, new versus old. Nearly 4 months into the Chromebook Plus cycle of devices, however, some of that is finally going by the wayside. The somewhat-unfortunate Chromebook models that are the previous dopplegangers to their Chromebook Plus-branded siblings are slowly fading away as time goes on.

ASUS Chromebook Plus CX34 double the storage $10 more

The striking ASUS Chromebook Plus CX34 gets double the storage for just $10 more – By Robby Payne chromeunboxed.com

Since the Chromebook Plus event back in October of 2023, there have been a few Chromebook Plus models that have been exclusive to certain stores. Specifically, the striking, gorgeous ASUS Chromebook Plus CX34 and it’s attractive, all-white chassis has been relegated to being sold only at Target for $399. It rarely goes on sale and for what I’m sure are a handful of reasons, many people don’t think to look at Target for their next Chromebook.

Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2: up to $80 off

Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2: up to $80 off Google’s excellent wearable – By Robby Payne chromeunboxed.com

There’s no denying the goodness that is Pixel Watch. While I don’t think the Pixel Watch 2 is a massive move up from the first version, it brings a few things to the table that are helpful for everyone: better performance and better battery. That being said, I never really had any issues with either on the original Pixel Watch when I used it.

HP’s larger Chromebook Plus model is just $299 right now

Though we’ve fully emerged from the holidays, it’s nice to know Chromebook deals don’t seem to be going anywhere. While perhaps not quite as prolific as they were a month or so ago, there are still great deals to be found if you are in the market for a great Chromebook at a great price.

$200 on the HP x360 14c Chromebook Plus

Save $200 on the HP x360 14c Chromebook Plus direct from HP’s website – By Robby Payne chromeunboxed.com
This is not something we generally are able to talk about, so I’m pretty excited to share this particular deal. Most times, Chromebook savings come through retailers like Best Buy, but today we’re actually seeing one of the new Chromebook Plus models on a pretty hefty discount via HP’s site.

Save on the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3

Save big on the upgraded Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3 with 8GB of RAM – By Robby Payne chromeunboxed.com

This is a deal we don’t see too often and that is primarily due to the fact that this particular version of the Duet 3 isn’t out in standard consumer channels the way it’s 4GB brother is on a daily basis. But in one of the key ways the Duet 3 feels inferior to the larger Duet 5 on most days – 4GB versus 8GB of RAM – this version of Lenovo’s 11-inch ChromeOS tablet closes the performance gap.

At just $229, the Lenovo Flex 3i Chromebook is an absolute steal

At just $229, the Lenovo Flex 3i Chromebook is an absolute steal – By Robby Payne chromeunboxed.com

Of all the Chromebooks that emerged in 2023, the Lenovo Flex 3i Chromebook was one of the first out of the gate that ended up being an absolute favorite all year. Though we’ve still yet to see the full onslaught of more affordable Chromebooks with the Intel N100/N200/N305 inside as I predicted after seeing the Flex 3i at CES 2023, I still think this device set a bar for low-cost Chromebooks that everyone else simply must follow moving forward.

With only a couple weeks left in the year, the crazy buying season is quickly coming to an end. But in the world of Chromebooks, that doesn’t mean too much. Most of 2023 was littered with great Chromebook deals left and right, and that’s a big reason we created the post that highlights the best current deals and why we update it nearly every day.

Mint Mobile FREE Pixel Watch 2 holiday bundle

Mint Mobile will give you a FREE Pixel Watch 2 with this holiday bundle deal — because apparently free wireless service wasn’t enough?– By Patrick Farmer Android Central
Just days before Christmas, Mint Mobile has launched yet another ridiculous Pixel deal that’s stopped us firmly in our tracks. Buy the Google Pixel 8 Pro alongside ANY six-month data plan and the prepaid carrier will hook you up with a $200 discount on the phone, an additional six months of wireless service, and a Google Pixel Watch 2 for 100% free. I’m not joking.

The ASUS Chromebook Plus CX34 is finally on sale again

The ASUS Chromebook Plus CX34 is finally on sale again – By Robby Payne chromeunboxed.com
Of all the Chromebook Plus models that arrived in October, one of the more-elusive models is the ASUS Chromebook Plus CX34 that is exclusive to Target. While it has been available and in stock most of the time since launch, it hasn’t been discounted nearly as often as its counterparts. But today, only a week and a half before Christmas, it is finally on sale once again.

Acer – Chromebook 516 GE Cloud Gaming Laptop – 16″

Acer – Chromebook 516 GE Cloud Gaming Laptop – 16″ 2560×1600 120Hz – Intel Core i5-1240P – 8GB RAM – 256GB SSD – RGB KB – Titanium Gray
I like this Chromebook so far. Keyboard has a nice feel to it, easy to type. I like the backlit display when the room is dark. Display is good sized at 16″. 120hz refresh seems to make smooth difference when scrolling the browser. Refresh rate certainly makes a difference for gaming. This computer does have a touch screen, but I don’t need one. I have an iPad if I want that. 16″ screen makes it a bit bulkier, but machine doesn’t feel very heavy. It would fit in a backpack easily. Case feels solid. Plenty of ports on the sides.
