Set up computer to be remotely accessed from another device

Use this link to launch Chrome Remote Support in the Get Support area click "GENERATE CODE'. We'll need the 12 digit code generated to access your computer.
      Note: For first use follow steps 1 thru 4 below.

Chrome Remote Support allows us to remotely access your computer through Windows or Mac Chrome browser or a Chromebook. Your Computers screen can be made available on a short-term basis for remote support. You can terminate the connection at any time, the Stop Sharing button will end my collection to your computer. All connections are fully secured.

Chrome Remote Support is fully cross-platform. Provide remote assistance to Windows, Mac and Linux users, or access your Windows (XP and above) and Mac (OS X 10.6 and above) desktops at any time, all from the Chrome browser on virtually any device, including Chromebooks.

Install Chrome Remote Support app for first use

  • Use Steps 1 thru 4 to install Chrome Remote Support app for first use.
  1. Choose the first option This device Get Support – To let someone else access and control this computer, click Download  (the blue down arrow) 
  2. Next the Add "Chrome Remote Desktop" will popup click "Add Extension" button. This will install Chrome Remote Desktop on your computer, this only needs to be installed the first time we wish to remotely connect. You can keep the app installed for future use.
  3. Almost there – To let someone else access this computer, generate a one-time access code and share it with them. GOT IT Click the "Share Icon".
  4. Get Support – To let someone else access this computer, generate a one-time access code and share it with them. ( We'll need the 12 digit code to access your computer)

 

Set up Remote Access

  1. Set up Remote Access – Set up this computer to be remotely accessed from another device. To get started, click “Download” (the blue down arrow) 
  2. Next the Add "Chrome Remote Desktop" will popup click "Add Extension" button. This will install Chrome Remote Desktop on your computer, this only needs to be installed the first time we wish to remotely connect. You can keep the app installed for future use.
  3. Ready to install – Click “Accept & Install” and follow the prompts. By continuing, you agree to the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Click the blue "Accept & Install" button.
  4. Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? Click the "Yes" button.
  5. Choose a name – Enter a name for your computer.Keep the default or change to whatever you like.
