Mussers Observe 50th Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Christian B. Musser, Mt. Wolf, mark golden
wedding day at reception attended by 250 persons.

Approximately 250 persons attended a reception held at St. Paul United Methodist church to honour Mr. and Mrs. Christian B. Musser, 441 York street, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Musser were married March 27, 1920, at York Haven United Methodist (formerly EUB) church by the late Rev. J. H. Schmidt, who was pastor at that time. Mr. Musser, who has served as Chairman of the York County Soil Conservation district for the past 25 years, operated a 100 acre farm at Mt. Wolf RD I for 50 years before turning the farm over to his son, Paul E. Musser, about four years ago. Mr. Musser, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob S. Musser, Mt. Wolf RD 1, said that he still helps his son with some of the farm chores. A veteran of World War 1, he is a past commander of Susquehanna Post 2493, Veterans of Foreign wars, Mt. Wolf. Mrs. Musser is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Doll, Manchester RD 1. Mr. and Mrs. Musser, who are members of St. Paul UM church, have seven children and 17 grandchildren. Their children are: Christian A. Gordon J. and Paul E. Musser, all of Mt. Wolf RD 1; Alvin H. Musser, 51 South Richland avenue, York; Mrs. Mary J. Fetrow, York RD 4; Mrs. Martha E. Bentzel, Thomasville RD 1, and, Glenn M. Musser, Silver Spring, Md. Mr. and Mrs. Musser moved from Mt. Wolf RD 1 to their present address four years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Christian B. Musser, Mount Wolf RD 1 Saturday night were given a surprise 50th anniversary celebration by their seven children at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Manchester. About 300 persons attended as the couple received a 50th anniversary plate among other gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Musser were married March 27, 1920, at Yolk Haven parsonage. The couple has 17 grandchildren.

60th Wedding Anniversary
MR. AND MRS. CHRLSTLAN B. MUSSER, 441 York St., Manchester, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a family dinner Sunday in Avalong Dining Room. The couple was married March 27, IM, at the former York Haven Evangelical United Brethren Church by the late Rev. J.H. Schmidt. Mrs. Musser, the former Anna Bell is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Doll Manchester. Her husband is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob S. Musser. They are members of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Manchester. Their seven children who hosted event are Christian A., Gordon J., Paul E. Musser, all of Manchester; Alvin B. Musser, Felton RD 2; Glenn M. Musser, Silver Springs, Md.; twin daughters, Mrs. Mary J. Fetrow, York RD 4-, and Mrs. Martha E. Bentzel, Thomasville RD 1. In addition there are 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
